Congress is expected to recess from May 4th to May 10th and members of Congress are planning to host town halls in their home districts. This is an opportunity to make sure our representatives hear from us on the crucial issues being discussed in Washington, from health care and taxes to jobs and workers’ rights.
Congressman Tom MacArthur (R-03) Wednesday, May 10, 2017 The Kennedy Center |
Congressman Donald Norcross (D-01) Monday, May 15th, 2017 Timber Creek Regional High School |
Congressman MacArthur’s town hall is open to the public and admittance will be on a first-come first-serve basis. The event is likely to see large crowds given the focus on MacArthur’s health care amendment that poses a severe threat to the livelihoods of working families. We encourage our brothers and sisters to express their views on this issue and reiterate the need for reform that expands affordability and access to health care, not the exact opposite as the MacArthur Amendment would currently do.

Our brother and Congressman Donald Norcross will also participate in a town hall meeting, open to Camden County residents, to discuss current policy initiatives from the local to federal level. This meeting is also an opportunity to weigh in on the health care debate as well as the issues most important to you and your family.
Additional town halls will be posted to the New Jersey State AFL-CIO website as they are announced.
