We encourage all affiliates to demonstrate solidarity with our brothers and sisters in the Southern New Jersey Building Trades Council by joining s picket line to demand that the University of Pennsylvania hire union labor to complete a $50-60 million construction project of a medical center and doctors’ offices along Route 70 in Cherry Hill. The pickets began Monday and will be ongoing, from 7:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday until this dispute is resolved.

WHO: New Jersey State AFL-CIO, Southern New Jersey Building Trades Council
WHAT: Informational pickets to protest the hiring of non-union labor to complete construction of a medical center/doctors’ offices
WHERE:

1871 Route 70 West
Cherry Hill, NJ

WHEN: 7:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday

We urge you to support our building trades workers. It’s important that we send a loud, clear message to the University of Pennsylvania and Finmarc Management, Inc. that hiring non-union labor to complete this project is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. By standing in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in the building trades, we can send a clear message that “an injury to one is an injury to all.”
