Solidarity Alert: Join for Saturday Leafleting to Support AC Public Safety

The state has proposed drastic cuts to police and fire departments in Atlantic City that pose a threat to public safety, jobs, and the city’s economic recovery. We therefore call on all our brothers and sisters to join us in the fight for Atlantic City’s future by taking part in a leafleting action this Saturday. Details are as follows:

Saturday, March 25, 2017

12:00 noon

Bally’s Atlantic City (on the boardwalk)
1900 Boardwalk
Atlantic City, NJ 08401

These cuts will result in 50% fewer firefighters and the smallest police force since 1971. In response, the New Jersey State AFL-CIO has joined with various labor and community allies, forming a coalition that will educate the community on the impact of budget cuts through a campaign called, “Don’t Gamble on Safety AC”.

Public safety is essential to residents, businesses, visitors, and workers alike. With your support, we will ensure that this vital community need is not compromised. We look forward to your solidarity and be sure to wear your union colors.
