SOLIDARITY ALERT: Join Us to Save the Showboat in Atlantic City

Workers, Community Leaders, & Elected Officials to March for Good Jobs & Atlantic City’s Economic Future

Sponsored by the New Jersey State AFL-CIO & Atlantic/Cape May CLC

Caesars Entertainment announced last week that it would be closing the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City on August 31, 2014. The closure would cost 2,100 workers their jobs – 900 of which are members of UNITE HERE! Local 54 – devastate the community and local economy as well as impact small businesses which depend on the customers drawn in by the casino.

The closure of the Showboat would have a dramatic and widespread impact across the city, which is why we are all working together to keep the Showboat in business to preserve good middle class jobs and fight for Atlantic City’s economic future.
