PRIMARY ELECTION DAY: Tues, June 6, 2017

Polls Open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

New Jersey will be a focal point in the world of politics this year. We are one of two states to hold a governor’s race – the other being Virginia. All 40 state Senate seats and all 80 state Assembly seats will be up for grabs, and there will be more than 50 rank-and-file union members on the ballot this year.

If there is one thing we’ve learned over the years, it’s that every vote counts, and the Primary Election is no different. Only when we exercise our voice can we be confident that working family values will be reflected in our government.

There is too much at stake to take anything for granted. The treacherous policies of Christie and Trump have harmed workers and our labor movement, and we cannot afford to let down our guard. A lot of work must be done, and that includes electing our allies to public office.

The point is that we all need to vote, and in doing so, we can uplift workers in New Jersey and send a message that strengthens labor across the nation. Now is the time to make our voices heard. Be sure to vote tomorrow, Tuesday, June 6thPolls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
