Free Swine Flu Awareness and Preparedness Public Workshop

 

This workshop was held on June 4, 2009 at the Rutgers University Labor Education Center in New Brunswick.  This seminar was presented by Dr. George DiFerdinando, Center Coordinator for the New Jersey Center for Public Health Preparedness at the UMDNJ and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the UMDNJ School of Public Health.  Dr. DiFerdinando has been working in public health practice for over 25 years, with the Centers for Disease Control, NY State Department of Health, and the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services. He also managed the NY State Tuberculosis Control Program during the height of the multiple drug resistant TB epidemic of the 1980’s and 1990’s, and was Acting Commissioner of NJDHSS during the NJ response to both 9/11 and the anthrax exposures of that year.
