At the Occupational Safety and Health Education Program Annual Conference participants learn about occupational safety and health resources and initiatives in our State; share information with their peers on health and safety matters affecting members and co-workers; obtain information to share with their Health and Safety Committees, and learn new training techniques and receive updates on a variety of Occupational Safety and Health topics. The conference is geared towards an audience of Union Staff Representatives and Shop Stewards, Employers, Safety Directors, General Contractors, and Human Resources Representatives, and Safety and Health Trainers. Last year, workshops included topics such as Workers Compensation in NJ, OSHA’s Role in Emergency Response, a review of OSHA& Enforcement and Compliance Assistance Programs, Workplace Violence, Ergonomics, Security Awareness and Preparedness and Pandemic Flu.
