Building Unity, Fighting Back, Moving Forward!
March 30-31, 2012
East Brunswick Hilton
3 Tower Center Boulevard
At the 9th Annual Women in Leadership Development (WILD) Conference, participants will engage in a highly interactive program which allows them to develop strategies to “build unity” among union and community members and “fight back” against the attacks to our union values. By tying together the themes of “building unity and fighting back,” we will take the essential first steps towards moving forward as a labor movement.

If you have been to one or all eight WILD Conferences, you now understand the importance of communication and learning from one another. This conference will once again emphasize the importance of building relationships to achieve success within your union as well as professionally and personally. Building unity has always been a major component of WILD and this year we are taking it to the next level. WILD provides the tools to facilitate and motivate each of us to realize our own potential as leaders of solidarity.
We are proud to have Senator Robert Menendez, a staunch supporter of women’s rights and equality, as our keynote speaker. And we are very fortunate to have Sandra Engle from the UAW Political Action Department and KC Wagner from the Cornell ILR School, who will facilitate this year’s workshops on using the political process to counter attacks on workers, and understanding and addressing workplace bullying. We also welcome Dr. Sue Schurman, Dean of the Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations who will be joining us for this sure to be memorable WILD conference.
We welcome your participation in this year’s WILD. Please find a conference brochure HERE with registration and hotel information, and we look forward to seeing you in March.
