Heldrich Hotel Workers Vote Overwhelmingly for Union Representation with Workers United

Workers at the Heldrich Hotel are celebrating a recent organizing victory which they won by a substantial margin. The employer ran a determined campaign against the union, but these workers showed that they would not be intimidated or deterred from their goal of achieving representation. By standing together these employees can proudly say that they fought for and successfully achieved a voice at their workplace.

We congratulate the new members of Workers United, and encourage them to carry the momentum from this successful election to the bargaining table. Given the struggling economy, more and more employers are trying to take advantage of workers by demanding unfair employee concessions during negotiations. Our brothers and sisters must remain cognizant of this fact and do everything they can to secure fair benefits and compensation.

We encourage both sides to sit down and expeditiously negotiate a mutually beneficial contract. Upon the successful conclusion of negotiations and the signing of a contract, we very much look forward to once again resuming business with the Heldrich Hotel.
