Join Your Union Brothers and Sisters in Commemorating Labor Day 2009

Labor Day ceremonies and parades will be held throughout New Jersey on the week prior to and following Labor Day. This Labor Day, we will celebrate the rich history and bright future of organized labor in New Jersey and in America. We encourage all of our union brothers and sisters to attend an event near them. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a day out with your family and to spend some time with friends during the last few weeks of summer.

Since its inception, the labor movement has fought on the side of working people, bringing about the type of reform that benefits all Americans. The protections and opportunities workers enjoy today are a direct result of the sacrifices made by union members throughout history. Labor Day 2009 is especially significant because this year, we have a chance to honor and expand upon the tradition of the labor movement by ushering in the next era of reform.
