Majority of Workers at Trump Call For Union Representation

After conducting a 'card check authorization' a bipartisan panel chaired by Congressman Rob Andrews (D-1) verified that a majority of casino dealers at Trump Plaza have signed union authorization cards stating their desire to form a union with the United Auto workers.

Once the results were verified the Congressman Andrews and the other panelists, Senator James "Sonny" McCullough (R-1) and Assemblyman Jim Whelan (D-1) called on management at Trump Plaza to respect the wishes of these workers and begin negotiating a fair contract. If Trump refuses to accept the findings of the panel, workers there will participate in a union election this Saturday, March 31, 2007.

The New Jersey State AFL-CIO would like to thank Congressman Andrews, Senator McCullough and Assemblyman Whelan for their participation in this event and for their ongoing support of these, and all working families, throughout the State.
