NJ State AFL-CIO Notches 866th Labor Candidate Victory

The New Jersey State AFL-CIO is excited to report its 866th labor candidate victory with the election of union brother Tony Ciasca of IBEW 94 to the Burlington Township Board of Fire Commissioners.

Brother Ciasca won his re-election easily because of the support of the New Jersey State AFL-CIO’s labor candidate program, the Burlington County Central Labor Council and IBEW 94. These combined efforts including direct mail and phone banking propelled Brother Ciasca to election victory. We thank all our affiliates and staff for their hard work in this successful effort.

We all win when labor stands united!

The New Jersey State AFL-CIO oversees the most successful Labor Candidates Program in the country. Since its inception 19 years ago, there have been 866 election victories to offices at all levels of government: U.S. Congress, state Senate and Assembly, county Freeholder, Mayor, Alderman, Committee and Council member, Fire Commissioner and School Board.

These victories have a positive impact on all union households because labor elected officials understand our unique struggles and work hard to enact policies and laws that benefit working families.

Congratulations again to Brother Ciasca on his election victory and a heartfelt thanks to all of those who help our Labor Candidates Program to unparalleled success.
