This election cycle will be unlike any other in recent memory for several reasons. First, the New Jersey State AFL-CIO is propelling state labor walks into the future, using a smartphone app called MiniVAN. This app does away with the paper walk packets of old, replacing them with a smartphone-based map that volunteers can use to conduct their labor walks. We thank the 112 union volunteers who took part in today’s labor walks and look forward to your ongoing support to implement this new system.

Over the coming Saturdays, the New Jersey State AFL-CIO will continue to roll out the MiniVAN system across the state with the help of affiliates and CLCs to fully harness the potential of this new technology. So, be sure to mark your calendar and join us for upcoming labor walks which you can find HERE.
Another unconventional aspect of this year’s election is the race itself. Never before has there been a candidate so eminently qualified for the presidency versus one so woefully unqualified. Yet shockingly, the race remains up in the air. Therefore, we need to do everything we can to ensure a victory for working families this November. There is simply too much at stake to be complacent.
Furthermore, this race is not about seeing eye-to-eye on every issue. It is a simple choice between one candidate who will put working families first and another who will make it his mission to eviscerate the labor movement. It is up to all of us to make sure there is no question how the race will turn out.
We look forward to seeing each and everyone one of you at the labor walks, and thank you for your ongoing work to ensure a prosperous future for all New Jersey working families.
