Thank you to everyone who joined for the Meet AC Luncheon in Atlantic City yesterday. By all accounts, the event was extremely positive and productive. A delegation of over 100 union members participated in the luncheon, representing dozens of unions from across the state and region.

Keynote speakers included Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-3), Senator Jim Whelan (D-2), Assemblyman Tom Giblin (D-34), Assemblyman Vincent Mazzeo (D-2), Atlantic City Mayor Don Guardian, and Atlantic County Freeholder Will Pauls, who is also the Business Manager of Iron Workers Local 350.
The overwhelming support from all sectors of the labor movement for our brothers and sisters in Atlantic City spoke volumes considering that many of the unions which were present face daunting challenges of their own. This is the type of solidarity which will ensure that our movement continues to endure and grow stronger with time.
A number of great ideas were exchanged about how the union movement can help to build a brighter future for Atlantic City. The luncheon was also an opportunity to encourage unions from the local to the national level to host their meetings and conventions in Atlantic City, which offers first-class conference services and runs on union labor.
We all want to see Atlantic City keep good union jobs, and we thank our many affiliates and community allies in advance for their support moving forward.
