With the announcement of his transition team, Governor-Elect Murphy has selected several state labor leaders to serve on committees that will address various issues, including education, labor and workforce development, transportation and infrastructure, and building a stronger economy for all. A full list of committee appointments can be found HERE.
The New Jersey State AFL-CIO is honored to play a key role on the Murphy transition team with the selection of President Charles Wowkanech to serve on the Labor and Workforce Development committee and Secretary-Treasurer Laurel Brennan to serve on the Stronger and Fairer Economy committee. We also congratulate our many brothers and sisters who were chosen to serve, and we are proud of the strong labor voice they will bring to the Murphy administration.
It is clearly a new day for working families in New Jersey, and with a seat at the table, organized labor is ready to lead the way forward for our state.
