A critical piece of legislation to support and create American jobs (A-3059) is scheduled for a hearing in the Assembly Budget Committee this Thursday, December 11, 2014. The bill would help increase domestic manufacturing in the United States and would create jobs for New Jersey workers. With our state suffering from high unemployment and a failure to recover from the jobs lost in the great recession, this is a common sense way to help American workers.
Your presence and/or testimony at this committee hearing will go a long way to demonstrating the need for this legislation. Please join us this Thursday to show your support.

A-3059 adds enforcement mechanisms and transparency to the purchasing process for state and local governments and requires these public agencies to procure American made goods where financially feasible. Such a bill would benefit manufacturing workers and the region’s economy.
New Jersey needs to take proactive steps to create jobs, and “Made in America” legislation accomplishes just that. The state Senate passed this bill with broad bi-partisan support in June 2014. “Made in America” equals Jersey jobs. Please stand with American workers and support this legislation.
