Celebrate "Songs of Solidarity" At Free Newark Concert

The presidential election has produced a lot of divisive talk, which to say the least, has become both exhausting and frustrating. Fortunately, there is a free concert coming up in Newark that is sure to boost your spirits. CLICK HERE for an event flyer.

Saturday, October 22, 2016

4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Old First Presbyterian Church
820 Broad St.
Newark, NJ 07102 United States

The concert will feature songs, celebrating our solidarity, from Irish, African American, Jewish, Italian, radical, and labor struggles from the Civil War era to World War II. Performers will include the Rutgers University Chorus-Newark and the Newark Philharmonic Glee Club.

During this difficult and unconventional election cycle, the labor movement is proving once again that we will focus on what unites us rather than divides us. By doing so we will continue to build strength for all working people around the country for generations to come.
