Today, “Raise the Wage” coalition partners met to discuss our current progress towards achieving voter approval of Question #2 and to reiterate how important it is for every voting-age New Jerseyan to realize that the minimum wage question will be on the ballot this November.
Raise_the_Wage_Coalition_Meeting_2.JPGThe Working Families United for New Jersey, Inc. “Raise the Wage” campaign has made great strides to raise awareness for Ballot Question #2, gaining television, radio, and print media coverage of the minimum wage ballot initiative, registering tens-of-thousands of residents to vote, and garnering a diverse base of support made up of 255 labor, community, faith-based, and other progressive organizations.
The New Jersey State AFL-CIO is a proud supporter of the “Raise the Wage” campaign, and realizes that our success depends on the unity of our state’s progressively-minded organizations. Therefore, we are fully committed to working with our brothers and sisters in the labor movement and in the community to achieve a victory for all come November.
