Throughout the four-day program, students will learn how to improve their leadership skills and strengthen their knowledge and understanding of the U.S. labor movement in order to grow and maximize our collective voice. Summer school instructors are intergenerational pairs of union officers, staff, and labor educators from universities and unions. There will be a host of interesting workshops from public speaking, collective bargaining, grievance handling, organizing, and many more! There will also be relevant panel discussions on current social and public policy topics.
We highly recommend this program and speak from experience. New Jersey State AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Laurel Brennan personally participated in and taught at several week-long sessions and describes the experience as valuable a highly relevant to the labor movement.
We hope all of our union sisters will consider taking advantage of this educational program. CLICK HERE to learn more and register today.
